Sandra Jo Schuman

Sandra Jo Schuman, of Warren, passed away November 28, 2020 at the age of 69. She was born September 13, 1951. After high school, Sandra had a very eclectic array of jobs before attending nursing school. She was a horse trainer at Hazel Park Race Track, a truck driver, she also played the drums in a band. Sandra then got serious and earned her degree as a Registered Nurse and retired after many years working in home health care. With her caring nature she would always help anyone in need. She would give you the shirt off her back if she knew it would help. She also had a wonderful ear and was always there if you needed someone to listen. After she retired she wasn't content and started Inside English (a Billiards Magazine.) She enjoyed everything Billiards. She loved playing pool and also attending pool tournaments. She was an avid fan of Jeopardy. So much as to trying out for the TV show. She was also a dog lover. She loved her dogs with everything she had and strongly supported the animal rescues and shelters. Sandra was a truly caring person and had a large group of friends. But above her love for her friends was her dedication to her family. She had an infectious laugh and a brilliant smile. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Sandra is survived by her two loving daughters, Amy Schuman (Mark Kaufman) and Karen Schuman. Caring Nana of Basil Schuman, Michael and Jonathon Crafard and the late Dakota Crafard. Devoted companion of Michael Kimmerer.She was predeceased by her parents John and Lucile Erickson. She is also survived by many loving friends. Visitation Wednesday 2-8 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (west of Hoover) Warren. the Funeral Service on Thursday is private. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations addressed to Almost Home Animal Rescue, Last Day Dog Rescue or Hope for Paws are preferred. **In accordance with the Health Department Mandate, only 25 people are permitted in the building at a time and all those in attendance must have a face mask or covering on at all times in the building. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.**
