Pat would like to let you know that her work here is done! She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an assignment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110%. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, clearance rack shopping, gardening and tending to her roses till her heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed! Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She left detailed instructions for her husband, brothers, children and grandchildren to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed. Low adherence to these instructions will not be tolerated!! Patricia Diane Manzella "Patti-Ann" passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at the age of 70, at her residence in Washington Twp, Michigan. She was born on December 24,1946 to the late Frank T. and Virginia (nee Mucha) Pelc in Detroit, Michigan. Beloved wife, partner and rock to Sam Manzella for 20 years. Loving mother of Robert (Dianne) Gaffke Jr., Constance (Tom) Naples II, Lori (Fiancé Ralph DeBucce) Dolman, Diane Gaffke-Fornari and the late Donna Jean Gaffke. Proud Grandmother of Justin & Steven Sortor and Jesse Naples; Raymond II, Ryan & Randy Dolman; Dominic, Anthony, Arabella & the (late) Angelina Fornari; Brandon and Kourtney Gaffke. Great-Grandmother of 9 great-grandchildren. Dearest sister of James (Annie) Pelc and David (Margie) Pelc and so many amazing cousins. Pat will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family, friends and co-workers. Preceded in death by her late spouse Robert A. Gaffke Sr. Pat took a medical retirement from Ford Motor Company in 2010. She stayed active with her Local Union 2280 retiree as the recording secretary. She loved taking the bus trips to different casinos within Michigan, Ohio and Canada with her friends and family. All those who knew Pat knew she was a “professional” shopper of all store sales, whether she needed it or not if it was a good sale she was buying it! Visitation is Sunday from 1:00 - 8:00PM, Scripture Service is 7:00PM at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 49150 Schoenherr Rd. (N. 22 Mile Rd.) Shelby Twp.
