Vanessa Marie Savitsky

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Vanessa Marie Savitsky, who departed this world on Monday, December 9th, 2024, at the age of 45. Born on October 18th, 1979, in Warren, Michigan, Vanessa was a beacon of kindness and joy to all who knew her. Vanessa resided in Utica, MI, where she was known not only for her compassionate nature but also for her dedicated work as a Dental Hygienist. Her commitment to fostering healthy smiles brought comfort and happiness to many. She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory forever. Vanessa is survived by her beloved children, Scott, Isabella, and Joseph, who were the light of her life. She also leaves her devoted parents, Umberto Adrian and Darlene Antoinette Donorio of Shelby Township, MI. Her brother, Vincent Donorio, and his Fiancé Colleen McKinnie, will deeply feel her absence, as will her cherished grandmother, Josephine Quaglia. Vanessa's family circle also includes her dear aunts and uncles, Joann and Bryan DePlancke, and Vincent and Melanie Quaglia, along with many cousins who will always remember her warmth and generosity and the Pietrobono family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Gesualdo and Virginia Donorio, her grandfather Candido Quaglia, and her cousin Nicole Pendergrass, leaving behind a legacy of love that spans generations. Vanessa will be fondly remembered and deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved. May she rest in peace, knowing she was truly loved and will never be forgotten. The Donorio family would like to personally express our deepest gratitude to the immediate family members (DePlancke, Kamego, Pendergrass, Pietrobono, and Quaglia), relatives, friends, neighbors, and colleagues (Stellantis and Ford Motor Company) who have sent their condolences and prayers for Vanessa and her children. To the couple and others that immediately rushed into action to offer comfort and assistance to Vanessa, along with the first responders that provided medical care, we are forever thankful for your selfless service. We would also like to thank Rick Masi and his family for their continued support during this difficult time. To the amazing faculty and staff at Morgan Elementary (Shelby Twp), and St. Lawrence Catholic Church (Utica) thank you for your care and support. A heartfelt thank you to Vanessa’s coworkers at Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC – Grosse Pointe), along with all her patients that she built relationships with over the years. To all those we may have inadvertently omitted, we apologize and thank you for your support and understanding during this difficult time; you are in our thoughts and prayers. It is our belief in our Creator that we will all reunite with our departed together, in happiness again, one day. May God Bless every one of you. A visitation in celebration of Vanessa's life will be held at Wasik Funeral Home, Shelby Township, MI, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Her funeral service will be Friday, December 20, 2024, at 12 pm at the funeral home. Family, friends, and all whose lives Vanessa touched are welcome to join in commemorating her life, sharing stories and memories that exemplify the indelible mark she left on all those who knew her. She will be buried at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
