Troy R. McMaster, a beloved resident of Chesterfield Township, MI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the age of 60, at Henry Ford Hospital in Clinton Township. Born on August 21, 1966, in Pontiac, Michigan, Troy was a cherished father, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Troy was the loving and proud father of Trevor, who he adored dearly. He was a devoted brother to Terri and Timm (Anna) McMaster. Beloved friend of Karen. A proud uncle, Troy leaves behind fond memories with his nieces and nephews: Ryan (Marley), Carlee (Mitch), Alyssa (Chris), Karsen (Lora) and Tiffany who grew up loving him as a father. He will be forever remembered as the beloved "best friend" of Tanner, the dog he lovingly rescued from the Alcona Humane Society. Preceded in death by his father, Carl E. McMaster, mother, Faith I (née Kline) McMaster, and brother Todd McMaster, Troy is survived by extended family and a wide circle of friends who cherished his companionship and unfailing kindness. Troy had a successful career as a Regional Manager, and his professional dedication inspired many. Though he enjoyed fishing and cheering on his favorite sports teams, his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his son, Trevor. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation for Troy, scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel, located at 35259 23 Mile Rd., New Baltimore, MI. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., also at the funeral home. Following the service, a graveside committal service will take place on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Twin Lake Cemetery in Lincoln, MI, where Troy will be laid to rest. In lieu of floral tributes, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Troy's memory to the Alcona Humane Society, reflecting his deep compassion for animals.
