It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scott Weiss, who left this world on Thursday, October 9th, 2025 Scott's departure leaves a profound void in the lives of his family and friends, who will forever cherish the love, wisdom, and joy he brought into the world. Scott is survived by his loving son, Darryl Scott Weiss, who was not only his child but his pride and joy. Scott's legacy will live on through Darryl and the many fond memories they shared. Scott was predeceased by his dearly loved parents, Warner and Katherine Weiss. He is also survived by his siblings, who each held a special place in his heart: his brother Brad Weiss and wife Diana, brother Troy Weiss and wife Kimmie, and sister Shelly Weiss. Scott was preceded in death by his brother Greg Weiss and Greg's wife Barbara (Bobby), as well as his brother Kim Weiss is survived by his sister-in-law, Tina Grein-Weiss and son Reggie Weiss. Scott was not just an uncle but a guiding presence in the lives of his nieces and nephews. He played an instrumental role in the life of Shelly's son, Donnie, who shared a brotherly bond with Darryl. He had a special place in his heart for all his nieces and nephews. From an early age, Scott had a passion for baseball, taking his talents to the field as a skilled pitcher. His dedication to the sport led him to play semi-pro baseball and played for Birmingham Southern on scholarship. His love for physical activity didn't stop there, Scott was an avid runner, participating in marathons, and shared a lifelong enthusiasm for hunting, a tradition instilled by his father. Scott also enjoyed fishing with his son and brothers. A gifted musician, Scott expressed his love for music through singing and playing the guitar, performing at venues and creating music with various instruments. He had fond memories playing music with his nephew Jeff Golish and his friend Greg Cammarata. Even as his health declined, his love for people and his vibrant spirit never waned. Known by many as a fun-loving and genuinely great person, Scott left a positive impression on everyone he met. He enjoyed making memories at the movies, a passion that he passed on to his son through countless shared experiences. In his later years, Scott found comfort in watching classics like "Gunsmoke" and "Bonanza.", which made him remember the memories he shared with his father and learning about those life lessons which were part of those shows. Scotts career as a welder was showcased in the area hospital and at the auto show in Detroit for many years, many of which spent working with his good buddy Pete. Scott's passing is mourned by all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness, creativity, and love will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. Scott's life celebration will be scheduled at a later date under the direction of the Wasik Funeral Home in Shelby Township. In lieu of floral tributes memorial contributions may be directed to Scott's family.
