Samuel Macias Nevarez

With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Samuel Nevarez, who fell asleep peacefully in death on June 12, at 86 years of age. Sam will be remembered by those who love him as a devoted husband, cherished father, proud Grampy and dear friend. He was also a beloved member of the Metro Park Spanish congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, known for his faith, humility, and kind spirit. Born on July 27, 1938, Sam spent the greatest portion of his life reflecting his love for Jehovah through his actions, ministry, and the way he treated others. His dedication to Bible truths and his hope in the resurrection brought comfort not only to him but to those who knew and loved him. Sam was always ready with a kind word, a helping hand, and a steady example of Christian endurance. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Sarah, his daughter Adrianne (Joe), his grandchildren Oliver, Gemma and Juniper, and his nieces and nephews as well as a loving spiritual family of fellow Witnesses and friends who eagerly await the day promised in Revelation 21:4, when “death will be no more.” Sam’s life was a testimony to his faith in Jehovah, and he will be lovingly remembered until the day he wakes up again in the paradise he so firmly believed in. A memorial service will be held on July 26 at 5pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 13339 Metro Pkwy, Sterling Heights, MI 48312. A streamed service can be viewed on Zoom. También fue un miembro querido de la congregación hispana de los testigos de Jehová de Metro Park, conocido por su fe, humildad y bondad. Nacido el 27 de julio de 1938, Samuel dedicó la mayor parte de su vida a reflejar su amor por Jehová a través de sus acciones, su ministerio y su trato con los demás. Su dedicación a las verdades bíblicas y su esperanza en la resurrección le brindaron consuelo no solo a él, sino también a quienes lo conocieron y amaron. Sam siempre estaba dispuesto a ofrecer una palabra amable, una mano amiga y un firme ejemplo de perseverancia cristiana. Le sobreviven su amada esposa de 58 años, Sarita; su hija Adriana (Joe); sus nietos Oliver, Gemma y Juniper; y sus sobrinos, así como una amorosa familia espiritual de Testigos y amigos que esperan con ansias el día prometido en Apocalipsis 21:4, cuando “la muerte ya no existirá”. La vida de Samuel fue un testimonio de su fe en Jehová, y será recordado con cariño hasta el día en que despierte de nuevo en ese paraíso en el que tan firmemente creía.
