Phyllis A. Spudowski

Phyllis A. Spudowski, of Roseville, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the age of 83. She was born March 17, 1940 in Hamtramck to Michael and Frances (nee Gasior) Demkowicz. Phyllis loved camping, baking and basically taking care of others. She was very active at St. Raymond's volunteering for the parish festivals and various events. She enjoyed being active and involved in many different social events. She was a very caring person. She was always on the phone making sure friends and family members were ok and spending hours talking to them and keeping up on their life's activities. Friends and family were very important to Phyllis. She went out of her way to make sure they were taken care of. She loved to entertain and host all holiday parties. To have a house full of happy people brought great joy to Phyllis. As social and outgoing as Phyllis was, her true love and passion in life were her grandchildren. She was not just Grandma, but she was their biggest fan and supporter in everything they did. She was her happiest when she was just spending time with them. To see her grandkids and family happy made Phyllis feel overjoyed. She will always be remembered for her deep love of family and making everyone feel as though they were included and part of her family. She will truly be missed by everyone who had the honor to be a part of her life. Her strong foundation of caring for family and friends will continue to be her legacy carried on by her children and grandchildren for years to come. Beloved wife of Marvin for 61 loving years. Loving mom of Robert (the late Rita) Spudowski, Gail (Larry) Pokropowicz and Sharon (Rob) Schreiber. Adored grandma of Eric (Michele) Gorski, Rachael (Tom) Ireland, Marissa and Jessica Spudowski; Meagan, Emily and Matthew Pokropowicz; Cody and Samantha Schreiber. Precious great grandma of Anthony and Ava Lanni and Ella and Lila Gorski. Dear sister of Florence (the late Stanley) Spudowski, Amelia (Eugene) Spudowski, Michael (Jane) Demkowicz and Conrad (Marie) Demkowicz. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday 1-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (west of Hoover) Warren. Instate Monday 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 10 a.m. at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 22851 Lexington Ave. (north of 9 Mile ) Eastpointe. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Memory of Phyliss may be addressed to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
