With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Phyllis Ann Grabowski, who left this world on May 22, 2026, at Wellbridge Nursing Home in Novi, Michigan. She was 79 years old. Born on October 7, 1946, in Duluth, Georgia, Phyllis was the daughter of Virginia Nelle McDonald and Luther Paul Jackson (in name only). From the very beginning, she carried a gentle strength, a warm spirit, and a kindness that would become the hallmark of her life. Phyllis was the beloved wife of the late Dennis Grabowski, with whom she shared a life built on love, loyalty, and unwavering devotion. Together, they created a family rooted in strong values, compassion, and generosity—qualities Phyllis embodied every day. She was the loving mother of Jennifer (the late Paul) Sloan and Edward (Mary) Grabowski, who will forever carry her lessons, her laughter, and her boundless love in their hearts. She was the proud and devoted grandmother of Larissa (Coty) Farr, Lainie Sloan, Nicholas Grabowski, and Terra Grabowski, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride. Phyllis was the dear sister of Greg Jackson, Evonne Palacio and other siblings. She was a beloved cousin of Deb (Cookie) Rogers and Regina Durham and an aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was also a godmother to four godchildren. To all who knew her, Phyllis was a beacon of kindness. She greeted every person with warmth, treated everyone with respect, and carried a positive attitude that never dimmed. Her values were strong and unwavering—honesty, compassion, generosity—and she lived them with quiet grace. She would do anything for anyone, without hesitation and without expecting anything in return. Her legacy is one of love freely given, support offered without question, and a life lived with purpose and heart. She touched countless lives, brightened countless days, and left the world better simply by being in it. Though we will miss her deeply, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on—in the family she cherished, in the kindness she modeled, and in the memories that continue to bring light to our days. Funeral services to honor and celebrate Phyllis's life will be held at Wasik Funeral Home in Shelby Township, Michigan, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation at the same location on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., to share stories and memories of a remarkable woman who touched many lives. Arrangements for Phyllis are entrusted to Wasik Funeral Home in Shelby Township. Though she is no longer with us, Phyllis will always be remembered for her compassion and unyielding love for her family. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.
