Patricia L. Klimkowski

Patricia L. Klimkowski, of Sterling Heights, passed away on December 27, 2022 at the age of 85. She was born April 13, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Viola Schwartz. Patricia was known as "The Candy Maker". Holidays were extra special and complete when you received a box of her homemade chocolates. She was also an avid and loyal Detroit Red Wings fan. She enjoyed cheering them on both on TV and attending the games in person. Pat loved Disney World and basically everything Disney. Disney vacations started years ago with her husband when their children were young and continued as her grandsons were old enough to go. Many memories were made and will always be cherished. Pat enjoyed being active. Whether it was just going and getting her hair done and socializing with the ladies at the hair salon, going to the theater with her friends, lunch dates with family and friends or just spending time talking to them, Pat was always up for an outing or get together. Pat cared deeply for her family and friends and most became part of her extended family. Many lifelong friendships that have been made will be forever cherished. Pat's family was her greatest joy. When her children were young, she could be found attending her son's hockey practices and games or endless dance classes, dress rehearsals and recitals for her daughter. As they grew up and got married, her love and support grew even deeper. When her grandsons came along her heart was finally full. Spending time with her children and grandsons truly made were her happiest times. She was her grandsons biggest fan and supporter in all their activities. The milestones reached and memories they made and shared will be remembered and truly cherished forever. Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter in 2006. She is survived by her loving children, Dr. Walter (Susan) Klimkowski and Michelle (Brian) Marquette. Precious and proud grandma of Jack and Alex Marquette. Dear sister of the late Jay Schwartz and Bettie Lipke. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation Friday 2-8 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 7 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 49150 Schoenherr Road (north of 22 Mile) Shelby Township. Patricia will be laid to rest with her husband Walter in the spring in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
