Martin Wojciech Marlow

Martin Wojciech Marlow (originally, Malowanczyk) was born September 25th, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan and passed away peacefully on November 9th, 2022 at the age of 65. Companion of Christine Marlow, dear father of Douglas Marlow, loving brother of Alicia, George and Mark Marlow, beloved son of Walter & Anna Marlow (originally, Malowanczyk). Martin grew up as a Catholic in East Side Detroit to Walter and Anna Marlow of respectively Polish and Germany ancestry. His loving and committed parents instilled in him the significance of family and legacy. Upon high school graduation, he traveled the country, driven by curiosity, adventure and an inquisitive nature. Building experiences across his home state of Michigan, Florida, and the Carolinas while following the career path of X-Ray Technician. Through his early life, Martin had no shortage of experiences and past-times – of which he would share with his eager son, Doug. A true adventurous soul, Martin spent his time in the sun, at the beach, in the forest trails, the family cottage in Northern Michigan, and the winding roads of the USA on his motorcycle. In 1997, Martin & Christine (Zelenak) were married, and gave birth to Douglas Marlow, their only son. Martin & Christine worked hard to raise an intelligent, hard-working, analytical and loving son. During the 2000’s, Martin was a loving and committed father to his son – inspiring him in the ethics of family values, independence, and specifically – a love for the outdoors and the automotive world. This upbringing and new found passion for all things automotive, led Doug to choose his career path – attributing his success in part to his father’s tenacity. A career path is not the only thing Martin passed to his son, but also the importance of physical fitness, the serenity of the outdoors, and many beloved past-times; including the freedom of 2-wheeled adventure, swimming and much more. Though Martin sought to embody all virtuous ethics, he was but a human being, and faced many challenges. Taking the good with the bad – Martin had a deep reverence and selfless commitment to his family & God. Through his time as a father & husband, he took solace in the love and companionship shared with his family. Martin is survived by Christine Marlow (age: 69) & Douglas Marlow (age: 25), who are determined to carry on his legacy. Visitation is Sunday (November 13th) 1PM-8PM and Monday (November 14th) 1PM-5PM with a 5 PM Funeral Service at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 49150 Schoenherr Rd. (n. of 22 Mile Rd.)
