Mark Stuart Pickering

Mark Pickering, age 54, passed away on July 21, 2026, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. He was born on May 28, 1972, in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Mark was the beloved husband of Stephanie for 18 wonderful years. He was the loving father of Daniel Woodard, Samantha Woodard, and Jasmine Tyler-Woodard and her fiancé, Tyler Scott. He was the special former father-in-law of Julia Clowers and an incredibly proud "Grumpa" and "Grandpaw" to Myah, Giannah, Olivia, and Lucas, who brought endless happiness to his life. Mark was the dear brother of Rachelle (Scott) Hubbard and the late David Glenn Pickering. He was also a loving uncle to Nick (Shayla) Hubbard and Alex Hubbard. Mark attended Northland College in Wisconsin before transferring to Rochester College in Rochester Hills, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. He went on to build a successful career in lawn maintenance sales, where his friendly personality and ability to connect with people served him well. Outside of work, Mark enjoyed exploring art fairs, browsing thrift shops for unique treasures, and spending weekends at Detroit's Eastern Market. He had a genuine appreciation for history and was always eager to learn about the past. Whether discovering a hidden antique, finding a great bargain, or sharing interesting historical facts, Mark found joy in the simple things that made life meaningful. Above all else, Mark's greatest love was his family. He treasured every opportunity to spend time with those he loved, especially his grandchildren, who affectionately knew him as "Grumpa" and "Grandpaw." His kindness, sense of humor, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In accordance with Mark's wishes, there will be no funeral services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wasik Funeral Home of Shelby Township. Mark will be remembered for his warm heart, his love of family, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to share in his life.
