Lawrence S. Kuniecki

Lawrence (Larry) Stanley Kuniecki, a longtime resident of Clinton Township, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the age of 86. He was born on February 11, 1938, in Hamtramck, Michigan. Larry was a 1956 graduate of John J. Pershing High School. Upon graduation, he immediately enlisted in the United States Army where he served two years, followed by the Army Reserves for another four years. After serving, Larry worked many years in sales and automotive engineering and manufacturing. He retired from Milco Manufacturing in 2006. Larry was a sports fan, especially of the Red Wings, the Lions, and the Tigers. He particularly loved the game of golf; his proudest moment was when he got a hole in one on August 6th, 1990. When his daughters were growing up and they got involved in sports, Larry was right there not only supporting them but also coaching them. Larry was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara and also his second wife, Mary Ann. He was also predeceased by his parents and his brother, Robert (Camille) Keyes. Loving father of Kim (Jeff) Harcourt, Lisa (Mark) Hendren, Ann Marie (Glen) Allen and step father of Chris Matt, Jeff Matt, Lynn (Brent) Whiteside and Carrie Matt. Proud grandpa of Krystal (Dan) Stringer, Sarah (Jason) Malak, Samantha (Ryan) Mahoney, Katie (Steve) McIsaac, Brandon Hendren, Melissa (Eric) VandenBerg, Olivia (Adam) Corbley, Drew Matt, Dylan Matt and great grandpa of 11 great grandchildren with 2 more great grandsons on the way. Dear brother of Carol (the late Philip) Esch. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation for Larry will be on Tuesday, February 4th from 1-8 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 49150 Schoenherr Road (north of 22 Mile) Shelby Township. His funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 5th at 11 a.m. with visitation before starting at 10 a.m. Inturment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
