Kelly Lauren Geier

On Sunday January 8, 2023 Kelly Lauren Geier, a beloved wife, mother, aunt, and friend passed away in her sleep. Kelly's greatest pride was being a mother to Claire, wife to Mark, and dog-mom to Chip, Finn, and Walter. Kelly had many close friends, whom she considered family, including Brooke, Tanya, Heidi, Jaclyn, Samantha, Katie, and many others. She was an incredible aunt to her four nieces, Harper, Dylan, Sloane, and Cora, and was proud to be an aunt figure and Godmother to many of her friends' children. She had an especially close bond with her Aunt Sandy. Kelly enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, and documenting her adventures through pictures. She was an extremely thoughtful person and had a unique ability to make people feel cared for and special. With family and friends, Kelly was especially known for her quick wit and snappy sense of humor. She never missed a good one-liner. Kelly and her husband Mark shared a beautiful love story that started with a chance meeting on a night out with friends, and led to a beautiful life together and Claire, their miracle. Kelly's deepest passion in life was taking care of Mark and Claire, her "Team." Kelly is predeceased by her parents Jim and Debbie Therssen and her father-in-law Mark Geier, Sr. Survived by husband Mark Geier, daughter Claire, mother-in-law Diana Geier, many aunts and uncles, 4 nieces, and countless friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation for Kelly will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the Wasik Funeral Home – Gendernalik Chapel located at 35259-23 Mile Road in New Baltimore. Kelly will lie Instate from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Thecla Catholic Church located at 20740 S. Nunneley in Clinton Township. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. College was always important to Kelly. In lieu of flowers, we are accepting donations towards Claire's college fund. Checks can be made payable to "College America" and mailed to Brooke Acre, 44444 Mound Road, Ste. 200, Sterling Heights, MI 48312. Please write Claire Geier on memo line. Memorials may also be made to the American Diabetes Association.
