Dolores J. "Dolly" Tiska

Dolores J. "Dolly" Tiska, of St. Clair Shores, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 at the age of 90. She was born on July 14, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph and Josephine (nee Sikora) Srock. Dolores was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores and was active with the Tekawitha Indian Mission through the church. She enjoyed being a part of the Red Hat Society, the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge. She was a social lady and always loved to be on the go. Whether it was traveling up north to the cottage, trying different local restaurants, visiting family and friends that were sick or just out for the day to spend time with others, she always stayed active. She had a caring heart and loved being around people. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary, she remembered them all. She also enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing cards. Family was also very important to Dolores. She never passed up an opportunity to entertain for the holidays or get together. She was a wonderful cook and loved sharing her delicious meals with others. Her heart was full of love when her family gathered and being together making memories was truly what she enjoyed most. There will definitely be a void as the family gathers and she is not there, but her spirit will most definitely be felt as her legacy carries on with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren each new generation to come. She will truly be missed by not just her family but all who knew and loved her. Beloved wife of the late Stephen. Cherished mom of Doreen Tiska, Carol (Carl) Harrison, Greg (Becky) Tiska and the late Stephen (the late Linda), the late Karen, the late Gary and the late Mary. Adored grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, with 1 one the way and 1 great great granddaughter. She is also survived by her daughter in law, Terry Tiska-Brennan as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousin and friends. Visitation Thursday 2-8 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (west of Hoover) Warren. Instate Friday 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 21100 Madison St. (north of 10 Mile between Harper and Little Mack) St. Clair Shores. Dolores will be laid to rest with her husband Stephen at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
