Danny Leon Petroff

Danny Leon Petroff passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. Dan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed. Dan was born on October 3, 1957 and was raised in Royal Oak, Michigan. He graduated from Kimball High School in 1976 and went on to build a long and successful career in the HVAC industry. He had a remarkable ability to solve problems and took great pride in his work. Whether helping customers, coworkers, friends, or family, Dan was always willing to lend a hand and use his knowledge to help others. Above all else, Dan cherished his family. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved, especially at the family cabin, a place that held a special spot in his heart. There, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, creating memories with family, and appreciating the simple joys of nature. Dan had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved Dobermans and his kitty. He found joy in caring for them and never missed an opportunity to feed and watch the birds that visited his yard. His caring nature extended to everyone around him, and he was always looking for ways to help, support, and take care of others. Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Velma "Kitty"; his father, Dewy; and his siblings, Margo Petroff, Linda Petroff, Joe Petroff, and Dawn Kinkade. He is survived by his wife, Linda Petroff; his sons, Danny (Lisa) Petroff and Brad (Liz) Petroff; and his cherished grandchildren, Ashley (Moe) Barjaoui, Bradley (Mia) Petroff, Madison Petroff, Morgan Petroff, Hailey Petroff, and Bella Petroff. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him. Dan's legacy lives on through the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the countless memories he created with family and friends. He will be remembered for his generous heart, his willingness to help anyone in need, his love of the outdoors, and his deep devotion to his family. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. Visitation for Danny will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 10 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Service at 1 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (west of Hoover) Warren. He will be laid to rest in Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak.
