Daniel Jon LeBeau

Daniel “Bo” Jon LeBeau, age 53, of Troy, Michigan, passed away on June 25, 2025, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Bo was born on January 27, 1972, in Macomb County, Michigan, to the late Daniel and Maxine LeBeau. He grew up in Clinton Township, where his determination and vibrant spirit were evident from a young age—winning the softball throw at Huron Elementary’s Field Day, singing in the state honors choir at Wyandot Middle School, and bringing down the house as the Grinch in a holiday performance. He attended De La Salle Collegiate High School, where he played soccer and was ranked the #3 goalie in the state of Michigan, all while guiding his family through the profound loss of his father in 1985. Bo earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University in 1996, where he was active in Formula SAE. He went on to complete a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Oakland University in 2000, followed by an MBA from Lawrence Technological University in 2008. While Bo achieved much in his education and professional life, his proudest role was being a father. His sons, Lucas and Spencer, were his greatest joy, his best friends, and the center of his world. Bo had a lifelong passion for soccer—not only as a top-ranked high school goalie but as a devoted fan of the game. He proudly passed that love on to his son Spencer, cheering him on and sharing their bond through the sport they both loved. He is survived by his beloved sons, Lucas (Kayla) LeBeau and Spencer LeBeau; his loving partner and soulmate, Li Wang; his devoted sisters, Tami (Jeff) Sharpe, Kristi (Jeremy) Cline, and Ashley (Aaron) Thomas; and his nieces and nephews, Brittany (Kyle) Felix, Owen (Lexi) Hillock, Kevin Cline, and Jayson Cline, who all lovingly called him “Uncle Bobo”. Bo is lovingly remembered by his extended LeBeau family, including his godfather, Steve (Becky) LeBeau, and his lifelong best friends—Todd, Ty, Anthony, Jeff, and Dave—who stood by his side in his final days, just as they had throughout his life. Bo always dreamed of living near the water, and that dream came true when he found his home on Lake St. Clair. He loved being on his boat surrounded by his two sons, closest friends, and family, creating lasting memories on the water. He also loved golfing with his sons and friends, sharing laughter, friendly competition, and quality time. Bo and his partner Li loved going on walks together and also shared a love for all different types of yummy foods (he adored Li’s amazing cooking). To those who knew him, Bo was unforgettable. He was the first to laugh when things went sideways and the first to offer support when someone needed it most. He had a brilliant mind, a sharp wit, and a hug that could calm any storm. Whether referring to loved ones as “Jackies,” playfully singing “If I Only Had a Brain” to his sisters, or convincing them to sing Jon Secada in Spanish during long road trips up to Escanaba, his joy was infectious. Some of his happiest moments were in the car with his sons, singing along to their favorite songs with the windows down and the music up. He never lost his sense of fun, adventure, or loyalty to those he loved. Dan was surrounded by all of his closest, loved ones at the time of his death, which showed the amount of love he gave to others in his life and allowed him to pass on, letting him know he was never alone in his struggle. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 E 13 Mile Rd. (west of Hoover) Warren. with a memorial service officiated by his uncle, Deacon Mike LeBeau, at 3:00 PM.
