Cheryl Ann Prano

Cheryl Ann Prano passed away suddenly on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the age of 40. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on October 3, 1983. Cherished daughter of Anthony Prano and Vickie Stewart. Loving mother of Zoey and Jackson. Dearest sister of Jennifer Prano. Also survived by many loving friends and family members. Cheryl was a dearly loved woman who touched so many lives in her 40 years. She was funny, sarcastic, and stubborn. She may have had a tough exterior but she was beautiful and kind. She loved nature, animals (more than people as she would say🤣), and sitting on her deck and watching the sunset/stars to relax. It was her favorite place to unwind at the end of the day. Her children were her whole world, along with the countless animals she accumulated. She loved music!! Music was very important to her, she loved to sing and play guitar. Those who knew Cheryl best shared the following thoughts: "Cheryl was a beautiful soul and a wild one at heart. She absolutely loved music and often it is how she expressed herself and emotions. She always put her kids first and they were the greatest thing she ever had as she told me this often. She had tough times just like all of us and I’m glad I got to be there to help her with love and support through the good times and bad times. She brightened my life with her goofy ways and wonderful smile. She let me into her children’s and her life and it made my heart so full getting the chance to be a part of it. From going to the kids events to just playing out in the yard. I will forever cherish and remember all the moments we shared from being silly and laughing, listening to music and getting on each other’s nerves. We were bonded souls and our love for one another came so naturally. She loved me so much she hated it in a jokingly manner. I’ll miss the comfort she brought me and tickling her arm and holding her hand at night while we went to bed. We were just getting ready to start our life together and moving in and planning to look for a new home. I wish I would have got to share it with you longer but am blessed to have had the time we did. Gone way too soon. She will be dearly missed and I will forever remember the wild silly girl I fell in love with. Rest peacefully my sweet angel, until we meet again ❤️. I hope you throw a big punk rock concert up there in the sky to let us know you’re looking down on all of us. She is literally like my other sister at this point. We call each other’s father’s "Dad" and they consider us their “other daughter”. Our nicknames for each other were Thelma and Louise or I would call her Piggles and she would call me Piggy. Piggles Louise and Piggy Thelma. Just this past year she got a pig tattoo for me/our friendship. She’s my other half, and I am hers. She’s the “Auntie to my kids, as I am to hers”. She was so stubborn and even more sarcastic lol. I loved that about her. She lived hard and loved hard! She loved music, animals, bugs and being in nature. She was so happy to be living in the “woods”. She loved it out there. She was like a little forest pixie 🧚. She loved hard and there was nothing more that she loved than her children, Jackson and Zoey. She would always tell me “at least I did 2 things right”. Those two were her world. She also was the biggest daddy’s girl. She loved her dad and always wanted to make him proud. She really looked up to him. She also loved her little sister Jen, it’s funny when they would fight and complain about each other to me because they are more alike than not and like the same person. Jen is more outwardly sensitive and Cheryl likes to act tough but she’s a big sensitive softy. I don’t know how I’m going to pick up the pieces and move forward without, not talking to her almost every day is just not right." -Katie Urben "The memory of Cheryl invariably recalls the significant positive influence she exerted on your life. For a short time during the late 90's and early 2000's, Cheryl lived with us and was like a daughter to me. She had a smile and laugh that filled a room - every corner. Her deep love for animals brought us three sweet cats during this time (Boomer, Lucy, & Buster) and I'm sure, followed through-out her short life. I'll never forget the Fish TV video she set-up for those cats and I still have the picture taken of all 3 watching on the bed. In my mind and heart, I can hear her laughter and have that to cherish. After she moved out, we lost touch, but I will always be grateful that last year we had chances to talk. Her love of her children, music, and life, was very much in every word she shared. As years go by, we all have people who we look upon and say, I am thankful that I knew them and had them in my life. Cheryl is one of those persons.
