Carol C. Kucharek

Carol Kucharek, of Warren, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the age of 82. Carol was born on February 28, 1942, to Stanley and Cecilia Walker where she joined her older sister Beverly. Carol will be missed by her loving husband Ed of 62 years. They were married in May 1962 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven. Carol and Ed welcomed four children into their lives; Catherine (James), Martin, Patrick and Deanna (Orlando). Loving and supportive grandmother to Tracy (Michael), Michelle (Timothy), Renee (Zachary), Danielle, Lauren (Quintin) , Jacob and Garrett. Proud great grandma to Bradley, Sophie, Kaden and Hudson. Carol, together with Ed, supported and attended their children's and grandchildren's numerous sporting events, graduations, band concerts and many more activities. As a parishioner of St. Faustina (formerly St. Edmund's) for 61 years, her Catholic faith was very important to her. She volunteered for many years at the church and enjoyed the fellowship while working the weekly BINGO. Carol was a wonderful cook, while rarely using a recipe. Gatherings were always a feast of delicious food enjoyed by many. During the time they owned their lakeside cottage, Carol and Ed, along with their children, enjoyed hosting extended family and friends to share the summer days with them. Much fun was had and many memories were made. Through the years, she enjoyed the companionship of her fellow employees at Macomb Community College and then Charter One Bank. She liked planting flowers and took pride in growing the peonies given to her by her aunt over 50 years ago. Carol also liked going to the beach and watching the waves, doing puzzles and playing with her pet dogs and cats who predeceased her. Carol's love and kindness will also be missed by brothers and sisters-in-law; Thomas, Richard & Marica, John & Chantal, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister Beverly as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. May she rest in peace after a life well lived. Visitation Wednesday 2-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (West of Hoover) Warren. Instate Thursday 11 a.m. until an 11:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 Twelve Mile Road (East of Schoenherr) Warren. Interment will be private at St. Patrick Calvary Cemetery in Brighton, Michigan.
