Arthur R. Schulenburg

Arthur R. Schulenburg, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence in New Baltimore, MI, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the age of 81, after a prolonged illness. Arthur was born on June 28, 1944, in South Haven, Michigan, to his late parents Arthur W. and Mignonne (VanAmber) Schulenburg. Arthur is survived by his devoted wife of 52 wonderful years, Christine A. (Hayes) Schulenburg, his children Corey Landon and Kimberly, as well as cherished grandchildren Rachel and Emily. He was predeceased by his son, Benjamin Schulenburg, and grandson, Bryan Landon. Dear brother-in-law to Sr. Linda Hayes, John (Priscilla), and Stephen Hayes, Arthur was predeceased by his brother Arthur W. Schulenburg and in-laws Richard (Katherine), Denis, and Jane Hayes. He leaves behind a legacy through his many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends who were touched by his warmth and kindness. A proud graduate of Western Michigan College, Arthur embraced a fulfilling career as an editor and served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army. In his personal life, he was deeply involved with the Life in Christ Fellowship, where he formed lasting friendships and shared his faith. Arthur had an adventurous spirit, reveling in the joys of travel and camping with his family and friends. He had an enduring passion for photography, capturing the beauty of the world and the precious moments in life. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel, located at 35259 23 Mile Rd., New Baltimore, MI. Arthur will be in state at Life in Christ Fellowship, 950 Wadhams, St. Clair, MI, on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am, which will be followed by military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors or Tunnel 2 Towers, causes that were close to Arthur's heart. Arthur's legacy will live on through his contributions to his community, his family, and all who knew him.
