Margherita Sieli

On April 24th, 2024, Margherita "Margie" Sieli (nee Soresi) passed away peacefully and became reunited with her beloved husband of 59 years, Nino. She was born the eighth and final baby on August 9th, 1935, into a large Italian family. After graduating high school, she worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in downtown Detroit. She got married and had three beautiful children Paula (Timothy) Capo, Janise (Peter) Ventimiglia and Anthony (Tammy) Sieli. After she raised her children, she worked at Arena Bridal & Formal for over 40 years. During her retirement she volunteered at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. She was the perfect grandmother to Cameron (Mimi), Elizabeth, Gina, Aubrey (Ido), Margaret (Joseph), Tifani (Phil), Tara (Justin), Antonia (Abrar), Anthony (Lindsay), and Patrick. She was ecstatic to welcome each of her 16 great grandchildren into her life: Nino, Julian, Sammy, Piero, Olive, Rosalie, Petey, Allie, Antonia, Ido, Joey Jr., Nora, Phin, Sisi, AC and Vernon. The love she had for her family was boundless and she never missed an event for any of her children or grandchildren. She was at countless sporting events, recitals, concerts, weddings, communions, baptisms, birthday parties, graduations, showers, holiday celebrations, family dinners and more. Margie will be remembered for her spunky personality, one-of-a-kind voice, singing, love of books and creating the most memorable family gatherings and holiday traditions that will be passed on for generations to come. She was a devout Catholic and lived her life through God. She was loyal, a great listener, patient, she had a way of making you feel like the most important person, she was safe and consistent. She always grew basil and made plum cakes in the summer, took her family apple picking in the fall and hosted Christmas Eve. She baked dozens of cookies for Christmas to make sure everyone had their favorites. She was easy to love and will be missed beyond comprehension. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, seven brothers and sisters and many close friends. We ask that if you plan to attend and are willing to share, please bring a card, pictures, or memories that you may have. Margie loved cardinals and believed they were a message from heaven. Family and friends are invited to a memorial mass that will be held Friday May 17th at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 48115 Schoenherr Rd., (n. of 21 Mile Road), Shelby Twp. In state 9:30a.m. and funeral Mass at 10am.
